Hank Bardel

Mr. Bardel is a maintenance consultant whose thirty plus years in the maintenance field includes a broad range of experience from entry-level electrical technician to maintenance supervision and management. Most recently, Hank served as a TPM Coordinator, where he trained and instituted Equipment Improvement Teams and trained approximately 70 shift crews on the 5S process.
Mr. Bardel’s work experience includes an eight-year stint in the United States Air Force, where he gained much experience in electronics, general maintenance, and personnel supervision. Hank had a 25 year career with Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company where he started as an automation technician and worked his way up to maintenance management. At LOF, in addition to his team and 5S training as a part of their TPM effort, Hank established a maintenance training program for electrical, mechanical, and machine shop personnel, which included computerized training that is still being used. He also developed a personalized training program that enabled front line supervisors to gain promotions. He has developed and implemented Preventive/Predictive Maintenance programs that in one case reduced unplanned downtime from 17% to 3% in two years. Hank has worked with maintenance organizations to successfully implement computerized maintenance management systems.
Hank has been one of Marshall Institute’s key training and consulting provider in Planning and Scheduling, Storeroom Control, Preventive/Predictive maintenance, World Class maintenance, Meaningful Measures for maintenance and Strategic Maintenance Leadership. He never fails to win high marks from clients and attendees He has that practical, "hands-on" experience that lends great credibility and authenticity to everything he presents.
In addition to his years of education and experience with the USAF, Hank has attended numerous college and professional courses to stay ahead in the field of maintenance. His "get the job done" attitude has saved maintenance organizations money and earned him letters of recognition.
