Boiler Training
According to the US Department of Energy, the industrial sector consumes more than 39% of the energy used in the United States converting about 70% of the fuel it purchases for energy into steam. Consequently, steam efficiency offers companies significant energy conservation and environmental benefits. Cost-conscious managers will find that their plant steam system directly affects their production unit costs much more than they realize. At the end of two intensive days participants can take an optional test towards certification as entry level boiler operators.
This seminar covers not only how to operate boilers and steam systems but how to do so in the most efficient manner possible. Topics covered will include:
- Steam Principles
- Heat Transfer Fundamentals
- Boilers
- Distribution and Recovery
- Fuels and Fuel Trains
- Combustion
- Controls and Trim
- Operation and Maintenance
- Managing Systems for Optimum Efficiency
- Water Treatment and Chemistry
- ISBI—International Society of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Exam (optional)
